Accomplished Advocacy For Injured Parties Since 1988

We have all seen the commercials from lawyers who promise to protect your rights and maximize your recovery following an injury accident. So how is an injured party in South Carolina supposed to find and choose the right personal injury lawyer?

Selecting a law firm that has advocated and has tried many cases to a successful jury verdict for injured clients throughout the state for nearly three decades is a good start. Enlisting the services of a firm that has proven capable of prevailing for clients at trial is a must. Svalina Law Firm is such a firm.

We accept all personal injury cases on a contingency fee basis. We only collect an attorney fee if we recover a financial settlement or
verdict for you.

Attorney Samuel “Sammy” Svalina has represented injured parties in Beaufort County and surrounding counties for more than 25 years. Much of that time was spent practicing alongside his father, Samuel L. Svalina, who founded the family firm in 1988. Up until his death in 2013, the elder Svalina practiced in Beaufort County since 1968. Sammy says, “My father always inspired me to approach any challenge the way I believed in my heart that it should be undertaken and accomplished. If you stick with that philosophy, you cannot go wrong.”

Our Philosophy In Representing Our Clients

Sammy summarizes his approach to working with clients: “I am a trial attorney with offices in Beaufort and Bluffton. I concentrate my civil litigation practice on representing individuals who have been seriously injured due to the fault of others or on the job. In my experience from litigating all kinds of civil matters, I have learned that the most important thing that people often forget is that the focus must be on the client, not on you as the lawyer. My clients’ lives often have been drastically changed as the result of an injury. As their advocate, I have to learn all of the details of their life, both minor and significant, so that I can tell their story in a way that a judge or jury can understand the impact that an event can have on their daily well-being. Therefore, I pride myself on taking extra time to get to know my client’s story and finding out the aspects of their life that other attorneys might not consider. This allows me to make the crucial connection with the jury so they can relate to my client’s difficult situation.”

We work with clients in a wide range of personal injury cases, including:

  • Motor vehicle accidents that are caused by another driver’s negligence, defective auto parts or dangerous road conditions
  • Commercial vehicle accidents, which often result in catastrophic injuries due to the size of the trucks involved
  • Slip-and-fall, trip-and-fall and other premises liability accidents, including dog bites and insufficient security in businesses and public buildings
  • Defective products that result in injury
  • Wrongful death cases that involve the death of a family member due to someone else’s negligence or willful actions
