Samuel "Sammy" Svalina was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 15, 1964. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1990. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of South Carolina, Supreme Court; and United States Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit. His educational background includes: Washington and Lee University (Bachelor of Arts Degree, 1986); University of South Carolina (Juris Doctoral in 1990). He was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Fraternity. He is a Board Member, Neighborhood Legal Assistance Program; Beaufort Bar Association (President, Family Bar); South Carolina Bar (Member, Judicial Selection Committee); Southern Trial Lawyers; South Carolina Association for Justice; American Association for Justice.
